Fighting Dachsunds Rally For Late Win Over Longnecks
Lookouts Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds and the Bloomington Longnecks.

The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds overcame a good performance by Bloomington center fielder Shahid Afridi to knock off Bloomington, 11-10, at Lookouts Ballpark. Afridi was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Ellenburg reliever Ron Anderson picked up the win, upping his record to 6-4. Richard Sykes took the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Bill Edmonds.

Preston Hernández's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a changeup from Richard Sykes for a 2-run double. It put Ellenburg in front, 11-10.

"It feels good to get that win," said Hernández. "Now it's on to the next one."
