The Brinkley Belugas got a stellar effort from pitcher Enrique García, helped Brinkley score a 3-2 win over the visiting Santa Barbara Golden Cranes. The win was credited to Don Teehan in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Henri Pollini took the loss. The Golden Cranes have now dropped 5 straight.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Edgardo Bello was at the plate when Brinkley scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Belugas to go in front, 3-2.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Santa Barbara manager William Franklin.
