The Bloomington Longnecks picked up a win at Lookouts Ballpark, knocking off the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 4-2. Starting pitcher Giovanni Mireles, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Bloomington reliever William Waters was credited with the win, to go to 5-2. Joey McCarthy took the loss for Santa Barbara. Bloomington has run its win streak to 6 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Bloomington, had it not been for Daniel Faraday, the 24-year old center fielder . Faraday contributed a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the seventh inning to put Bloomington up, 3-2.

"I like our mindset right now," said Bloomington manager John Muńóz.
