Red Pandas Fall Short, 8-2, at Scranton
The Scranton Supernovas eeked out a 8-2 win versus the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at Nuclear Stadium. Nobody did more than shortstop Kent Summey, who captured player of the game honors. Masami Kogawa picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-1. He struck out 6 in 7 innings. With the victory, the Supernovas record now stands at 31-36.

Summey came through with some timely hitting for Scranton. With the score 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth and two down, Summey hit a 0-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Supernovas managed to win.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Summey told the Scranton Chronicle.
