Men Pull Back to Even with 7-5 Victory
|
Florida beat Hialeah at Dodos Ballpark, eking out a 7-5 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder José Valéncia, who earned player of the game honors. Florida reliever Anthony Snyder got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jorge Ballesteros was tagged with the loss. The Men saw their win-loss record go to 30-30. At the same time, the Dodos fall to 38-22.
Early in the game, Valéncia had a 2-run home run for Florida. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Men on top, 2-0.
"José is still learning," said Florida Men manager Felipe Tańón. "The sky's the limit for him."
