Riding the 3-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Kent Summey, the Scranton Supernovas stymied the Tremont Doubledays, 4-2. Scranton reliever Apollo Cepeda picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Alejandro Ramos was saddled with the loss. With the win, Scranton goes to 28-32, while the Doubledays fall to 28-32.
Scranton grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the eighth, when Summey, the 17 overall pick in the 2025 draft, hit a 2-run double. His 11th double put the Supernovas out in front, 4-2.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Scranton manager Henry Russell.
