Anderson, Coyotes Beat Red Pandas, 9-4
|
The Hamilton Coyotes and Sioux Falls Red Pandas obliged those fans who came to The Bamboo Forest hoping for an exciting game.
Hamilton first baseman Al Anderson made his presence felt in the 9-4 Coyotes triumph over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Anderson was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 6. King Fletcher got the win, improving to 4-0. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 5.
The game turned with one out in the top of the eighth when Anderson hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Coyotes into the lead, 5-4.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Anderson told the Hamilton Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
With the win, the Coyotes improved to 21-25.
