Dodos Slip Past Bloomington, 3-1

The Hialeah Dodos and Bloomington Longnecks played a tight game at Lookouts Ballpark, with the visitors getting the hard-fought win.
The Hialeah Dodos got a magnificent performance from pitcher Stanley Eldrige, who muffled the Bloomington offense en route to a tight 3-1 Dodos win at Lookouts Ballpark. Eldrige was the winning pitcher and moves to 6-2. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. Pat McCormick closed it out for his 3rd save.
Late in the game, third baseman Luis Manuel Flores had a big at-bat for Hialeah. In the top of the eighth, he hit a 2-run single off George Eisenhauer. The play gave the Dodos a 3-1 lead.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Bloomington skipper John Muñóz.
The Dodos bumped their record to 27-17 with this latest triumph.
