Victory Over Red Pandas Takes Bloomington to 22-12
|
Antonio Godfrey helped Bloomington edge Sioux Falls by the score of 7-1. The Longnecks, at 22-12, lead by one game in their division.
Khyber, Pakistan-born Shahid Afridi came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd and the Longnecks trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to right to put Bloomington on top.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Godfrey, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
