Victory Pushes Belugas Record to 14-13
|
The Brinkley Belugas got a strong performance from pitcher Enrique García, who stymied the Scranton offense en route to a 7-1 win at Nuclear Stadium. The Belugas raised their record to 14-13.
Also pitching in was Brinkley shortstop Orlando Velásquez, who hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, Velásquez was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
In comments to the Brinkley News, Velásquez admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
