Supernovas Deal Dodos Painful Loss
|
The Supernovas had to overcome a fine performance from Hialeah pitcher Lucas Begay to grab a 7-6 win at Nuclear Stadium. Begay went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Scranton reliever Rob Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Albert Emery took the loss. The Supernovas' win now puts them at 12-12.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Sam Quint had a chance to end it. Hialeah pitcher Bob Warford had other ideas. But with one out, Quint hit a sacrifice fly. The Supernovas had the walk-off win.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Quint.
