Kato Slugs Patriots to 9-7 Win
|
The Boston Patriots trumped the Panama City Piranhas, 9-7, at The Tank. Boston third baseman Tamasaburo Kato was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Jorge Aguirre, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 5-1. With the win, the Patriots have a record of 19-10.
Also producing for Boston was center fielder Alberto Enríquez, who stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, Enríquez went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
