Thrilling Victory Pushes Golden Cranes Win Streak to 5
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes and Brinkley Belugas played an exciting game at Belugas Ballpark.
The Brinkley Belugas got a superb performance from pitcher Myles Wilkerson, but the Golden Cranes still won the game, 4-2. Wilkerson was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Santa Barbara reliever Herman Barnes picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bob Roth took the loss.
The most important at-bat for Santa Barbara came in the top of the ninth inning, when left fielder Arsenio Laurel stroked a 1-0 curveball to right for a 2-run single, putting Santa Barbara up, 4-2.
"I like the roll we're on," said Santa Barbara manager William Franklin.
With their winning streak at 5, the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes have raced to a strong start this season.
