Scranton played host to Hamilton at the friendly confines of Nuclear Stadium.
Getting an impressive start from Luis Zaragoza, Scranton beat Hamilton by the score of 4-2. Scranton reliever Jeff Schneider was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Jim Unknown. The save went to Apollo Cepeda, his 2nd this season.
Felipe Bruno drew 1 walk for Scranton. In the bottom of the eighth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Bruno delivered for the Supernovas. His run-scoring walk put Scranton on top, 3-2.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Hamilton manager Manny Sánchez.
The win moves Scranton to a record of 9-8.
