Big Day by Cole Ignites Belugas Win
|
Brinkley third baseman Brandon Cole played a vital role in his team's 13-3 triumph over Sioux Falls. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2 for Brinkley. Brinkley reliever Enrique García got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Ordono Lima was tagged with the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Brinkley Belugas have raced to a strong start this season.
Also contributing to the win was first baseman Randy Tucker, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fifth for Brinkley. For the game, Tucker was 1 for 3. He drove in 3 runs.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Wilson Alvarado said.
