Pandas Continue Skid, Thanks to Abe, 1837 BBC
|
The Houston 1837 BBC grabbed a 16-0 win over the Montana Pandas at Panda Park. Houston shortstop Kumanosuke Abe went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Alexis Zambaco picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-1. He struck out 8 in 6.2 innings. The current losing streak for Montana has reached 15 games.
José Marín also delivered for the 1837 BBC. The veteran left fielder belted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth. The longball put Houston on top, 16-0. Overall, Marín went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
