Stingers Turn Back Kingston Township, 6-3
|
With center fielder Dylan Carson leading the charge, the Toledo Stingers defeated the Kingston Township Legion, 6-3, at Cloverdale Legion Park. Carson, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in extra base hits with 8, was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times. Brad Cunnick got the win, improving to 2-2. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 5. The Toledo Stingers, now 5-10, have not found much traction so far in 2028.
Also making an impact was second baseman Ken Little, who drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth for Toledo. For the game, Little was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI.
"Dylan is still learning," said Toledo Stingers manager TJ Reynolds. "The sky's the limit for him."
