The Chicago Gold Sox did just enough to secure a 5-0 victory over the Grafton Middies at Gold Sox Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Woody Carlson, who captured player of the game honors. Chicago has now won 4 games in a row.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, third baseman Ben Kennerly came through big-time for the Gold Sox. With Chicago leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.

Kennerly attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
