The Ft. Worth Cattlemen turned back the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-6, at Great Northern Field. Nobuo Yamashita was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Bartolomeu Lio, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Asher Spivey closed the door for Ft. Worth, picking up his 25th save of the year.

Jesús Morales found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the ninth. Facing Thunder Bay hurler Júlio Palma, the 21-year-old left fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 43rd RBI of the season put the Cattlemen on top, 7-6.
