Rangel Belts 3 HR for Red Pandas Saturday, June 5th, 2027 Today was a special one for Joaquín Rangel of the Sioux Falls Red Pandas as he slammed three home runs in the 5-3 win over the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Sioux Falls right fielder had quite a game at The Bamboo Forest as he collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 3 runs. Joaquín Rangel hit a two-run home run off Bill Gentry in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Bill Gentry in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bill Gentry in the 6th and walked in the 8th. For the season Rangel is currently batting .215 with 7 home runs and 13 RBIs. In 28 games he has reached base at a .327 rate and scored 12 runs to date. |
