Lynx Starter Wins SAAA Pitching Award Wednesday, September 1st, 2027 There's something about a young rookie winning the USSL Triple A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Morlack Spurgeon, a 22-year-old starter for the Calgary Lynx. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.72 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 31.1 innings, fanned 26 and held opposing teams to a .228 average. In season stats Spurgeon shows a 10-3 record in 18 games, 112.1 innings, 72 strikeouts and a 3.61 ERA. |
