3AAA Names Belugas Nieves Winner Monday, July 19th, 2027 22-year-old Mario Nieves made a few Brinkley headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .579 average. Nieves collected 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. For the year Nieves has hit at a .318 clip with 47 RBIs, 9 home runs and 35 runs scored. |
