Season Over for Shaffer Friday, September 24th, 2027 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Philadelphia 1776's Cole Shaffer to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 09/21/2027 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Shaffer said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Shaffer has been out of action since he suffered a concussion. For the season, Shaffer is hitting at a .246 clip with 5 home runs, 32 RBIs and has scored 36 runs. He has 73 hits, 26 walks and a .306 on-base percentage. |
