Starter Scoops Up SL Rookie Award Monday, November 1st, 2027 Juan Guillén's age didn't show very often in his first year. He performed more like a veteran on the hill for the Rocky Mountain Nuggets and today he walked away with the 2027 Silver League Newcomer of the Year Award. The 23-year-old starter registered a 14-6 record this season in 22 starts. Over 157.2 innings he gave up 128 hits, struck out 178 and issued 61 walks as he held the opposition to a .223 batting average and fashioned a 2.91 ERA. Arturo Rodríguez of the D.C. Divided finished second in voting, while Ethan Miller of the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids finished third. |
