Silver League Names Rookie of Month Wednesday, September 1st, 2027 Julián Salcido's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young D.C. center fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In August he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .333 with 9 doubles, 2 triples and no home runs. Salcido also scored 11 times and drove in 14 runs. So far this season Salcido is batting .270 with 7 home runs, 46 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 88 hits in 326 at-bats, 22 walks and a .319 OBP. Salcido has played in 90 games. |
