5-Hit Barrage by Armstead Monday, June 14th, 2027 "It was like I was hitting little league pitching again," said Mark Armstead after his 5-hit performanace against the Dragonblood. "No offense meant to Yellowknife, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was The Dragon Den. I'm just not too happy that we lost 10-9." The Niagara Falls left fielder had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Mark worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Armstead said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it. It sure did work today." Mark Armstead singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
