Muñóz Fires No-Hitter Saturday, July 10th, 2027 António Muñóz of the Syracuse Storm was certainly the King of the Hill today in the USSL Single A. He really did a number on the Chicago Tula -- and that number was zero -- the number of hits he gave up in his 5-0 victory at Storm Park. "I can't believe I got a no-hitter!" said an exuberant Muñóz after the game. "That is the last thing you think about when you go out to the mound. You just want to win the game. The toughest part was the last couple of innings. Everybody in the ballpark knows you have a no-hitter, including me. That was the hard part, keeping your focus and concentration while your heart is pounding." Muñóz recorded 12 strikeouts and no walks in his sensational performance. To date Muñóz is 9-2 in 15 starts with a 1.31 ERA and has 114 strikeouts in 103.1 innings. View Boxscore View Game Log |
