3A's #1 Player Named Monday, June 7th, 2027 No single hit brought Aaron Dixon Player of the Week honors -- the Myrtle Beach Seahawks right fielder corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat. "Hitting is all about discipline," said Dixon. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too aggressively... swinging at a lot of bad pitches... that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes." Concentrate he did. Dixon stroked 9 hits in 15 at-bats while cranking out 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Dixon is hitting .326 in 2027 with 11 RBIs and 3 home runs. |
