3 Boomers for Tanner Tuesday, September 14th, 2027 Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Nathan Tanner of Wizarding can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Platform 9 3/4 against the Austin Rangers. In all he was 3-for-3 as the Express toppled Austin 14-9, knocking in 3 runs and scoring 5 times. Tanner told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one." His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air." Nathan Tanner hit a solo-shot off Juan Valéncia in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Juan Valéncia in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Katsuyoshi Takuda in the 8th. This year Tanner has hit at a .259 clip with 94 hits, 21 home runs, 69 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
