Multi-HR Game for Gardner in 5-2 Win
|
The exploits of right fielder Mike Gardner, who is tied for 9th in the SL in RBI with 50, helped the D.C. Divided defeat the Grafton Middies, 5-2. Gardner was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. The Divided now own a record of 48-42.
D.C. took the lead in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Wilbur Davis stroked a 2-run triple to make it 4-2, Divided.
"It feels good to get this one," Davis told the D.C. Herald.
