Middies Bang Out 8-4 Win Versus D.C.
The Grafton Middies defeated the D.C. Divided, 8-4, at Field of the Middies. Grafton left fielder John Meléndez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-3 with a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the win over D.C., the Middies improved to 40-48.

Lodi, Italy-born Stefano Gaddi came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st and the Middies trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run home run to left-center to put Grafton on top.

"We found a way to get it done," Gaddi said.
