Grafton Middies starter Craig Whitney turned in a competent performance against the Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Field of the Middies. Grafton reliever Lynwood Matos picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Motoyuki Nakamura shouldered the loss. The Middies are now 39-47, while the Cattlemen fall to 39-47.

Jack MacAsgill was the walk-off hero for Grafton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Grafton center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

In postgame comments, MacAsgill told the Grafton Observer: "Do people still doubt I give 100%?"
