The Seattle Aviators defeated the D.C. Divided, 9-3, in Silver League action at Washington Stadium. Anthony Johnston received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Aviators go to 40-41, putting them 6th in the Silver League.

Johnston had a game-changing double in the top of the second. On a first pitch fastball from Jon Dunn, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Aviators a 2-1 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Johnston.

"What a game," said Johnston. "We needed every last run."
