Rangers Deal Northern Lions BC Painful Loss
The Austin Rangers did just enough to sneak past the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-6, at Rangers Stadium. Austin first baseman Jesús Reyes earned player of the game honors. Austin reliever Ernest Torres picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Brandon Bannatyne absorbed the loss. With the win, Austin improves its record to 10-9.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Xavier Vásquez had a chance to end it. Thunder Bay pitcher Brandon Bannatyne had other ideas. But with one out, Vásquez reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run. The Rangers had the walk-off win.

"Exhilarating win," said Reyes.
