Vancouver rode a good effort from starter Pedro Valdéz to beat the Rocky Mountain Nuggets at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The final score was 5-0. Vancouver now sits at 38-35, while Rocky Mountain falls to 36-37.

Valdéz, who leaned on his sinker, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 7 innings for the Grey Wolves. For the most part, Rocky Mountain hitters were simply overmatched.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Valdéz told the Vancouver Citizen.
