Boston Patriots starter John Kaufman pitched a strong game against the Austin Rangers at Dunkin Donuts Park, leading the Patriots to a 3-1 win. Kaufman picked up the win for Boston, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Kyung-un Yi finished to wrap up his 4th save.

Ricardo Pérez had a chance to do some damage in the top of the ninth. With Austin trailing 3-0, Austin had runners on 2nd and 3rd. Pérez grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Austin would not finish the comeback.
