The Toledo Stingers and Grafton Middies obliged those fans who came to Pacesetter Park looking for a good time.
The Toledo Stingers defeated the Grafton Middies, 9-4, in Silver League action at Pacesetter Park. Enrique Pérez received player of the game honors. The 10-year veteran went 1-2 with a double and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. Vincent Bannon picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 7 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 2-2. Ed Stark closed it out for his 3rd save.
Leonard O'Connor's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 4-4. The Toledo first baseman hit a run-scoring single off Luis Torres to put the Stingers up.
"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Pérez. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
Toledo, at 31-26, sits in third place in the Silver League.
