Pandas Take Down Rainbow Mermaids, 4-1

The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids got a superb performance from pitcher Aurelio López, but the Pandas still won the game, 4-1. López was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. Kevin Woods was credited with the save for Montana, his 1st of the season. With the win over Northern Virginia, the Pandas improved to 18-39.
Clay Rush also delivered for the Pandas. The veteran left fielder belted a 2-run home run in the top of the third. The longball put Montana on top, 4-1. Overall, Rush was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"Nice to get this one," said Rush. "Wins have been hard to come by."
