Dante Slugs Rangers to 4-3 Win
The Austin Rangers defeated the Boston Patriots, 4-3, at Dunkin Donuts Park. Austin center fielder Count Dante was named player of the game for his superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Alfonso Zapata, who went 8.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 1-1. Losses have been few and far between for the Boston Patriots so far this season. Their record drops to 12-5.

Dante had a game-changing home run in the top of the third. On a 1-2 fastball from Tom Reynolds, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Rangers a 4-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Dante.
