Cattlemen Continue Hot Start to Season with Win
|
Starting pitcher Nicholas Wells pitched well enough to help the Ft. Worth Cattlemen beat the Seattle Aviators by the score of 5-3. The Aviators, now 18-22, have lost 6 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Ft. Worth, had it not been for Keith Best, the 33-year old right fielder . Best contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Ft. Worth up, 1-0.
"We had a good game plan," Wells said, "and we were able to execute it."
