|
Yellowknife pitcher Lesedi Danjuma did his part in helping his team beat the Niagara Falls Expos, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Danjuma was the winning pitcher and moves to 5-11. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Pak Dong Hyeon earned the save for Yellowknife, his 8th of the year.
Yellowknife grabbed a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the sixth when Sergio Peña hit a 2-run single. For the day, Peña went 1 for 5. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," said Danjuma.
Yellowknife is 8th in the Premier A with a record of 42-54.
