Dragonblood Need Extra Frames to Get Past Cauldrons

Yellowknife overcame a superlative game from Jerry Pellerin to beat Hogsmeade, 2-0. The Hogsmeade pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of shutout ball. James Stanton earned the save for Yellowknife, his 8th of the year. The 7th-place Dragonblood now have a win-loss record of 40-49.
Sergio Peña had the most critical at-bat for Yellowknife, coming in the top of the tenth inning with one out and runners on 1st and 2nd. Peña hit a 1-2 sinker from Bradley Roth for a 2-run double. It put Yellowknife in front, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Peña.
