Middies Drop Another One

The Grafton Middies got a superb performance from pitcher Wayne Hurst. Still, it wasn't enough to beat D.C.. The Divided won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Hurst was named the player of the game. He threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball. Gabriel Hidalgo recorded the save for D.C., his 4th of the season. The 4th-place Middies have dropped 6 straight games.
Arturo Rodríguez, who is rated as the 35th best prospect by BNN, aided the D.C. cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third. For the game, the third baseman drove in one run.
"I felt good up there," said Rodríguez. "I saw the ball well."
