Blaze Come Up Short at Gwinnett County
|
Gwinnett County Black Cats starter Kyuichi Hori turned in a sterling performance against the South Beach Blaze, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. José Quintero was called on to finish, recording his 24th save. Gwinnett County now sits in second place in the Premier A at 51-35.
Pedro Castro drove in one run for Gwinnett County. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. That's when he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Hiro Kurasawa. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hori told the Gwinnett County Observer.
