Romero Powers Divided to 10-5 Win
The D.C. Divided topped the Seattle Aviators by the score of 10-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Tony Romero. Romero went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Divided. Wally Copeland picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 5 in 6.2 innings. The win takes D.C. to 10-11.

There was more than one reason the Divided beat the Aviators, but one factor was Roberto Maestas. In the bottom of the fourth, the D.C. designated hitter came to bat and hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 5-4 lead.
