Athletic Club KC U-21 starter Wayne Slade was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Gwinnett County Black Cats, 6-1. In 8.2 innings, Slade surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The U-21 move to 33-38 with the win, while the Black Cats drop to 44-27.
Early in the game, designated hitter Chee-hwa Tze had a 2-run double for Athletic Club KC. It was his 8th double of the season and put the U-21 on top, 2-0.
