Blaze Squelch Yellowknife Offense in Shutout Win

South Beach rode a good effort from starter Toyozo Yoshida to beat the Yellowknife Dragonblood at The Dragon Den. The final score was 4-0. Yoshida got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Yoshida allowed no earned runs. Nésto Gago was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 10 save opportunities.
Raymond Graham aided the South Beach cause with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"I thought we played a nice game," Graham told the South Beach Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
South Beach is third in the Premier A with a record of 39-28.
