Hogsmeade pinch hitter Jim Unknown played a vital role in his team's 10-4 triumph over Mt. Vernon. He was 2 for 2 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade's record now stands at 36-30, placing them 4th in the Premier A.
A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the seventh inning when the Cauldrons sent teenager José Cuervo to the plate against Bulls hurler Greyson Torain. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 1-2 fastball to score 1.
