The Mt. Vernon Bulls picked up a win at Ballpark of Mt. Vernon, knocking off the Alameda Airmen, 3-0. Starting pitcher Martín Salazar was an essential part of his team's success. Picking up the save was Evan Roy, his 9th. Mt. Vernon has now won 4 games in a row.
Mt. Vernon took control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, Scotty Vallee hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Bulls.
