Black Cats Edge Past Hogsmeade, 3-2

The Black Cats had to overcome a fine effort from Hogsmeade pitcher Niklas Frei to grab a 3-2 win at Gators Ballpark. Frei went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Gwinnett County reliever Luis Arreola was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Bradley Roth. The save went to José Quintero, his 7th this season.
Melito Báez's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a slider from Bradley Roth for a 2-run home run. It put Gwinnett County in front, 3-2.
"Getting the win feels pretty nice," said Báez. "More importantly, I had a good game."
At 19-19, the Black Cats find themselves in 6th place in the Premier A.
